What was the most difficult promise you made?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 02, 2008:
..to my children, about being content once and for all upon moving back to my hometown! The "home" they knew and were happy with, was never one I felt comfortable at, and though I always enjoyed travelling & living abroad, I must have mentioned longing to go "home" too often.
Well, now we have been "home" for 5 years and I have come to realize that any material home is an illusion... unfortunately I also found that I will never be totally "at home", for - upon discovering that I can only come to peace/find my home within myself - my love and feelings are at home with someone that I won´t be together with....
Not being able to hide the fact that having come home doesn´t actually matter anymore, I have been troubled by my childrens disappointment ..
